Southern Maryland rides sneak up on you. One minute you're dodging suburban sprawl, the next you’re gliding past cornfields and forgotten marinas like time hit pause.
This ride started with a fist shake at the GPS (because of course it rerouted us through someone's backyard), but once the road opened up—so did my brain. Solomons brought the breeze. Piney Point brought the stillness. And The Ruddy Duck brought the IPA that reminded me why I keep doing this.

Bridges, Bald Eagles & Burgers: A Cold Ride to Blackwater
A morning ride across the Bay Bridge led us deep into the still beauty of Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge, where bald eagles soared and marshlands whispered. It was my first ride with Captain Crunches, and between the unexpected reflections on fear, a peaceful stop at one of Maryland’s hidden gems, and a burger-and-stout finale at RAR Brewing, this ride packed more than just miles. Sometimes, it's the short rides that leave the deepest tracks.
